The kitties of Locus Solus

This is Dash-bat. He has CKS(Concerned kitty syndrome). Huh… Locus Solus is spelled wrong on our chore list. Anyway, he’s a smart little bastard. We trained him to hit the door knob when he wants to go outside.

This is Mekus. She is mentally ill in a very real sense. But she’s still a good kitty. She doesn’t understand the concept of touch. So if you feed her and speak nicely to her, she will pur and look at you with happy eyes. But if you even think about petting her, she will run away.

This is powder. She lives in Trig’s room and doesn’t really come out. Not because she’s a bad kitty or anything like that. She’s just scared of you, me, air, light, dark, and anything that’s not Trig. Such a shame because she’s such a beautiful kitty.

On the right in this one, we have Max. Max is naughty. I suppose we can expect that since he’s still just a kitten, but he’s a fat bully kitten. He’s the only one that will really let you pet and cuddle him, so it’s all good.

1) i’m starting to feel like i’m stagnating. i don’t get it. i’ve accomplished far more than anybody has ever dreamed i would. i’m the most highly educated and paid member of the doom clan. so why do i still feel like i’m just drifting through life? what do i need to do to feel like i’m doing _something_ important? anything. my work effects 3 million people, yet i feel voiceless. i love and am loved by many wonderful people, yet i feel alone. i feel like psalms 88. i must solidify my goals and move forward on this earth.

2) there’s a difference between being picky and having standards. i want the one for me to be an equal and an opposite. she will be beautiful so that i desire and appreciate her physical form. she will be intelligent, intriguing and challenging to my mind. she will be sweet of spirit and of a fun nature. she will be very far from perfect, and i will appreciate her because of her imperfections. my love for her imperfection is why i am not picky. i merely have high standards for her and i am finding that i must have high standards for myself. i disdain people with no goals for their life or a lack of desire to accomplish their goals. the one for me should disdain me if i have no goals or a lack of desire to accomplish my goals.

I was talking to The Wicked Witch Of The Dub last night, and she said that the kitchen looked different with no flowers. I then realized that people are much like flowers. They brighten your life having them around. When they are gone, you remember their beauty and you appreciate them for what they provided to you. Nexus6: I woke up with no desire except to drink. All I wanted was a schooner of 1554, or maybe some Fat Tire.
Lakario: Haha that’s the kind of attitude I like to see.
Nexus6: Then I realized that I’m sick as hell and my body was just making me want to drink to be an asshole to me.
Lakario: Blah. Flu?
Nexus6: I don’t know. Freezing, achy, sore throat, lower typing speed, labored breathing, failing unit tests. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I don’t often get sick.

Notes from the weekend:
0.0 the manhatten is a cool lounge. Went there on Friday to see some dubstep and some house electro. Was advised by my roommate(a woman mind you) to “not be a gaping dry vagina, and hit on some chicks.” I intended to, but no interesting prospects.
0.1 Saw edIT from the glitch mob on saturday. A really hot girl said I have “innocent but seductive eyes”. Not sure how that works. She approached me, we danced, and I got her number, so that’s an easy win. Not because of a possible new friend, but because it’ll get my roommate off my back. Meeting females at clubs is generally bad move, so I hope it works out.
0.2 installed windows server 08 enterprise to familiarize myself with it for a possible new job. Maybe I’ve gotten too deep into unix, but server 08 is the pinnacle of their awesomeness and I “was almost impressed”.
0.2 the zeitgeist movement utah chapter is getting big enough that we need to split into focus groups or we will not get anything done.
0.3 doesn’t playing pattycake in the shower sound like great fun? Should I ever get a girlfriend, I will attempt this.
