Even though I’m not the drinking type for the most part, I can’t help but wonder why I can’t skip directly to step 6, or at least concurrently perform step 6 during the other phases of contributing to mission eternity.

Overview
=========
When creating a public release, there are several steps that _must_
be respected:

1. preliminary things
1.1 update the CHANGES file
1.2 test the code
1.3 make sure all code is “signed-off”, e.g. not in a broken state and all
developers are OK with a release
2. create a subversion tag for the release in angel_app/tags/ (see versioning below)
3. the actual building:
3.1 Prepare the release using the preprelease.sh script
3.2 Build a release from the output of the preprelease.sh script using the
buildApp.sh script of your liking from the angel_app/distrib/ dir
3.3 if you create several builds, repeat steps 3.1 and 3.2
4. Run a minimal test of the build
5. Release to the public
5.1 Update http://angelapp.missioneternity.org/
5.2 Update http://www.missioneternity.org/download/
5.3 Create a blog entry at http://www.etoy.com/blog/
5.4 Ping etoy.AGENTS
6. Get drunk

so i wanted breakfast today. woke up hungry because i’m sick and when i’m sick, i eat constantly. my roommate and i go to the store to get some eggs and what with being easter tomorrow, I decided that i wanted to decorate a cake for her. I haven’t decorated a cake in like 4 years, but I think I did an ok job. she did the flowers in the middle of the sides, and put the chocolate frosting on, and put most of the cinnamon dots on, i did the rest (obviously, i mean, no girl can produce writing that bad).

So what did I learn for this whole thing?

• it’ll cook in the normal amount of time if you put it on the lower rack in the oven
• making leaves is easier when the frosting is softer
• making flowers is easier when the frosting is hella stiff
• don’t be a dick to your friends over a cake, especially when you’re making the cake for them. it makes the gift lose its value (sorry strych9)
• different types of boxed cake mix have different directions, so RTFM

learn from these mistakes, bake a cake for your friends, and have a happy zombie christ day.

Like any good capitalist(as opposed to a bad capitalist. good capitalists are typically communists or socialists gone bad. Bad capitalists are people like dick cheney), I need capital to fund my lavish lifestyle. I demand money so that I can do all of the opulent and excessive things in life like pay rent, and buy food. To that end, I’ve decided to take my new hobby, and sell its funky produce rather than just give it away.

I know, it’s a cheap move, and once I am out of school, I will reverse this move. But for now:
